Schooling is the fundamental stage of a student’s life. In order to succeed at school and secure good grades, a student should follow certain principles. Not only should you attend the classes but also give your 100 percent. Here are a few guidelines that might assist you in achieving success in school-

• Take class notes: Write important notes even if your teachers do not emphasize on them. Class notes act as a good reference material during the examinations and help you understand the concept better during preparation. However, do not write down every word, rather pick up the main ideas such as formulae and comparison tables that would be easy to remember.
• Clear your doubts: Do you think that you might look stupid while asking a question in class? Don’t worry about it. Nevertheless, do not interrupt your teacher during the class. Instead, raise your hand and wait for the teacher to complete the topic and focus on doubts.
• Study: Study the class notes and other reference books containing the related topics. Analyze the topic for important points and consult your teacher in case of doubts. Study small topics and take regular breaks. You can also study with a friend to share information.
• Focus on difficult subjects: Practice mathematics even if you are struggling with it. If science is a difficult subject, taking help from a tutor or your friend may be a good idea. Given enough time studying difficult subjects, your chances of acing the subject in your exams will increase. If you are afraid of any subject, even then, knowing the basics will always help. The more you work on the difficult subject, the faster they will become easier for you to comprehend and remember.
