NMIMS Management Aptitude Test - NMAT 2013


NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT 2013)
NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is the official entrance exam to enter SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies (School Of Business Management). NMIMS offers a wide range of MBA programs, both general management and specialised areas, to suit industry requirements and make a student future ready.

Programs Offered are:
MBA: 360 seats
MBA Banking: 60 seats
MBA Capital Market: 60 seats
MBA HR: 30 seats
MBA Pharmaceutical Management: 120 seats
PGDM – Bengaluru Campus: 120 seats
PGDM – Hyderabad Campus: 60 seats
Admissions to all these programs are through NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) followed by Group Discussions & Personal Interview. NMAT is conducted in a time frame of 3 months, allowing choice of two retakes to the students should any of them wish to. In such cases, the best of three scores will be considered.

Admission Schedule :-  NMAT 2013
The schedule & registration charges for NMAT is as under:
Registration:  11th July, 2012 to 25th September, 2012     
Late Registration: 26th September, 2012 to 4th October, 2012
Scheduling: 19th July, 2012 to 5th October, 2012
Rescheduling: 19th July, 2012 to 17th December, 2012
Test Delivery: 11th October, 2012 to 19th December, 2012
Retake Scheduling: 11th October, 2012 to 17th December, 2012
Pearson VUE will carry out the online registration & will conduct NMAT on behalf of NMIMS. Interested candidates have to visit the NMIMS website for online registration. For appearing for NMAT online application has to be duly submitted & payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the prescribed mode i.e. Credit card, Cash at Bank or Demand Draft within stipulated time.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission:
MBA / MBA Banking / MBA Capital Market
  • Full Time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree.
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
MBA HR (Selection process is separate)
  • Full Time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree.
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
MBA Pharmaceutical Management (Selection process is separate)
  • Full Time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, Medical doctors MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt. Post Graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology can also apply.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree.
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
  • Candidates with B.Tech & B.E in Bio Tech & Bio – Medical are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates presently working in Pharmaceutical Companies for more than a year are preferred.
PGDM – Bengaluru campus / PGDM – Hyderabad campus
  • Full Time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective University/Institution awarding the degree.
  • Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

Structure of the Test:
NMAT would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type questions).
The NMAT will comprise the following:
Language Skills: 32 Questions in 22 minutes
Quantitative Skills:  48 Questions in 60 minutes
Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions in 38 minutes
Total: 120 Questions in 120 minutes

The candidate should note that it is important for them to perform well relative to other candidates in each of the 3 sections of the test as the score of each section and the overall  score will be used to shortlist the candidate for the second stage of the selection process as well as in the final ranking.  Please note that there will be no negative marking.
Note: If the candidate is not satisfied by his/her NMAT score in the first attempt he/she may schedule for Re-take NMAT by visiting www.pearsonvue.com/nmims and logging in with the allotted username and password. In case of candidates taking more than one attempt the best score which is the total score & its respective sectional score, which make the candidate eligible as per the cut offs declared by NMIMS, will be considered for short listing for subsequent process. (Cut off means sectional as well as total score). The scores of all the attempts taken by the candidate will be declared on the NMIMS website.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2012 - AIMA


All India Management Association (AIMA) is an apex body of management with over 30,000 individual members, 3000 institutional members and 60 Local Management Association across India and overseas.

Entrance Test: Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 

MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December. MAT is necessary for admission into PGDM/equivalent programmes offered by AIMA or other MIs who participate in it.
Mode of Test: Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test: Paper Based Test Or Computer Based Test

ONLINE MODE:

Eligibility: Graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply. The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent recognized degree. A final year student in any undergraduate (i.e. B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., etc) can also appear provisionally. Usually, there is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation, which is different for different MIs/University. For this refer to the prospectus of the particular MIs/University.

How to Apply: Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply.
Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, listed Study Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.
or
Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Register online at website along with the DD details. Detailed procedure is given on the www.aima-ind.org/matsep12/ website link.
or
Register online at website link www.aima-ind.org/matsep12/ with Credit Card payment. Detailed procedure is given on the website link.

IBSAT 2011

IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) is an aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI University Group, for students seeking admission into the management programs. IBSAT consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is for 2 hours duration and is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

ICFAI business school has campuses in various cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida & Pune.

Last date for receipt of completed OMR Application Form is: December 08, 2011

Online Admit Cards: From November 15, 2011 onwards at www.ibsat.org (No hard copies will be mailed)

MAT December 2011

All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), New Delhi conducts Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on national level every year in the month of February, May, September and December. The Government of India has approved MAT as a National Entrance Test for getting admission to various MBA and equivalent programs. All management institutes that participate in MAT are either AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved or affiliated to universities.

This year the paper based MAT entrance exam for December will be held on 4th December, 2011 and computer based exam will be held on 10th December, 2011. The registration for the exam has already begun and last day for registration is 12th November, 2011.

Mode of Test: Computer Based or Paper Based

Test Date: Paper Based Test (04 December 2011 10.00am-12.30pm) & Computer Based Test (10 December 2011)

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common and mandatory written test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University.

How to Register For SNAP 2011?

Step 1: Register for SNAP Test at www.snaptest.org The Candidate is required to upload a latest scanned photograph of own at the time of online registration. This will generate your SNAP ID. To pay the fees different ‘Payment Advice’ formats are created. Choose a payment mode and print a ‘Payment Advice’ form accordingly.

Step 2: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1550/- according to the payment mode. The 4 payment modes are Cash, DD, Credit Card and Net Banking. Visit http://www.snaptest.org/Application_Procedure.aspx for more details on payment methods.

Step 3: SNAP Test Admit Card should be printed from the SNAP website. This will be operative from 06th December 2011 and will remain open till 18th December, 2011. At the time of the written test, it is mandatory to produce your photo identity.

CAT Aspirants - Good News!!!

The dates of CAT 2011 voucher sale and registration are extended.

  • Last date for CAT 2011 voucher sales has been extended to October 01, 2011
  • Last date for CAT 2011 registration has been extended to October 04, 2011

All other terms and conditions will remain the same as per CAT 2011 advertisement released on August 07, 2011 on major Indian newspapers. Dates for CAT 2011 remain the same i.e. between October 22, 2011 to November 18, 2011.
